Spotlight on the afterlife
Author Josh Langley will tonight share his afterlife investigations as part of Koorliny Arts Centre Kwinana’s Stories on Stage program.
Langley’s interest in the afterlife was prompted by a burning desire to answer one of life’s big questions: is there life after death?
His investigation led to the book Dying to Know (Big Sky Publishing), which he says was motivated less by belief and more by collecting his own personal evidence. “I know there’s more to this life than its physical reality,” Langley said. “What is it? How do I find it?”
His quest to find answers led to him trying every method he could of making contact with the dead, including ghost hunts, past-life regression, lucid dreams, seances, visiting mediums, and meditation.
“I’m an amateur afterlife investigator. Some would say I’m on training wheels,” he said. “That’s my hobby, that’s my fascination, to see if we live on after we die.”The author of eight books for children and adults, Langley is a passionate advocate for mental health, having been diagnosed with anxiety later in life.
In 2018 he won the Australian Book Industry Awards Small Publishers’ Children’s Book of Year.
Stories on Stage starts at 7pm and costs $15, which includes supper, and book sales and signings.
