Magniforce trainer Trevor Tasker hopes a solid record over the distance holds him in good stead in Thursday’s $24,000 Kalgoorlie RSL Handicap (1200m) at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club.

Six of the eight-year-old’s 12 career wins have been over 1200m and Tasker will be looking for more of the same among two chances in the Anzac Day feature.

Three years ago, Magniforce ended Tasker’s 21-year wait for a metropolitan winner in the $70,000 Heineken 3 Handicap (1300m) at Belmont.

Rosie Mahony takes the ride from barrier seven aboard the gelding at 58kg.

The top-weights are Men’s Club (62kg) and Talk It Up (58.5kg), both from the stables of Peter Fernie who dominated the KBRC’s earlier meetings.
