With the Great Southern Football League season fast approaching and all clubs heading into their pre-season training, the umpires already started two months ago in the GSFLW.

Many of the umpires have already started blowing the whistle and training in the summer months of the season.

Umpire training has only just begun on Wednesday evenings with many umpires having finished their summer sports.

The GSFL requires 27 field, 24 goal and 46 boundary umpires each weekend to fill all umpiring appointments.

Therefore we are always looking for more youths, whether male or female, to cover the games.

Umpiring is a fantastic way to be involved in Australian Rules, being part of a team and keeping fit with the bonus of earning extra paid income for your time.

We have several girls involved in the umpiring program but would like more and with the GSFLW wrapping up shortly, it would be great to see them come down and join the team.

Training is on Wednesday night on Oval T (behind Retravision Stadium) with juniors starting at 5pm and seniors at 5.30pm.

Everyone is welcome and if anyone has any questions do not hesitate to give me a call on 0417 097 963, or contact me at tindaleryan@gmail.com.
