West Coast have shown up to fight at Marvel Stadium with debutant Jobe Shanahan booting his maiden goal as the Eagles lead at halftime.

Shanahan joins Brady Hough as one of two changes for the visitors, with co-captain Oscar Allen and speedster Tyrell Dewar injured.

Charlie Dean and debutant Charlie West replace Billy Frampton and Beau McCreery for the Pies, who have only lost two games in 2025.

Looking ahead

It doesn’t get any easier for the Eagles this week.

They return to Perth to face the Giants on Friday night at Optus Stadium.

FULL TIME: Collingwood 88, West Coast 59

The Eagles have shown big beltings are becoming an aberration, even on the road.

They forced Collingwood to have to weather a storm and change tactics to beat them.

And despite sitting bottom of the ladder, the Eagles refused to let Collingwood run away from them.

Every time the Pies got a run, the Eagles responded and in the end it was three missed set shots in the final term that cost the visitors a chance at victory.

Baker ends with 35 disposals, one more than Nick Daicos in an outstanding night for the former Tiger.

McCarthy had the second-most disposals for the Eagles with 29 in just his second game to go with 639 metres gained.

West Coast had more disposals but ended up narrowly losing the inside 50s and were 13 short in clearances.

30 mark

Baker has become just the second Eagle to reach 30 disposals this season.

He has 32 at the moment plus five tackles and has been massive.

The Eagles are trying to move fast through the middle but keep turning the ball over.

Collingwood have missed their last three shots to keep the door ajar.

Speaking of

Jamie Cripps has been subbed out for West Coast.

Seven touches and one behind for the veteran but he does not look injured.

Sub time?

The Eagles are still fighting hard by Collingwood are on top for a reason.

They are just making good decisions when they are needed and working their way through pressure with a perfect calmness.

The Eagles could do with an injection of run and Hunt still has not been subbed in.

Blown it

Williams could have had the first but blows an easy set shot after getting a holding free kick.

Reid got the clearance and Hall got a nice kick inside 50, it just needed the finish.

Moment to remember

Jobe Shanahan has looked a great young player in his first match at AFL level.

And he was well rewarded with his maiden goal earlier in the night.

THREE-QUARTER TIME: Collingwood 66, West Coast 56

The Pies owned much of that quarter but West Coast fans will be smiling after their young side responded.

Colingwood got the best of the tactical battle and changed the momentum.

However, youngsters like Bo Allan and Tom McCarthy got the speed back in the game off half back and gave the visitors two of the last three majors of the term.

Flynn is having one of his best games and looks slick by hands which is highly unusual.

Baker has been huge with 28 disposals while Maric and Graham are tackling hard.

Much needed!

The Eagles get their first goal of the quarter with 3.30 left on the clock.

It was their best play of the term with Ginbey putting his body on the line in defence to intercept a mark and then get the Eagles springing away.

Hough got the releasing handball and hit Flynn well.

The big ruckman missed a chance to kick to an open Williams but got saved by a 50-metre penalty for the man on the mark leaving so Howe could take over.
