In an 18-year career, Peake amassed six best-and-fairest prizes, three premierships, and the 1977 Sandover Medal as WA footy’s best player.

He also featured in 66 games across four seasons for Geelong from 1981 to 1984, including captaining the VFL club in 1982.

The man known as ‘Bomber’ cemented his considerable ‘big-game player’ reputation by starring for WA, including an unforgettable seven-goal haul against Victoria in 1986.

A West Australian Hall of Fame Inductee in 2004, Peake was named in the Australian Football Hall of Fame nine years later.
