Sky Reigns supreme at Greyhounds Mandurah

Sky Reign overcome a wide draw and long odds to return to the winner’s circle at Greyhounds WA Mandurah last Friday.

The handy black chaser from Kirsty Moore’s kennels notched his first victory since mid-July with a strong running performance in the Sign Up WA Mixed Grade 4/5 over 488m.

Sky Reign jumped only fairly from box eight but with a clear path ahead of him he quickly clicked up into top gear and swept across the field to join the leading Romford.

Sky Reign sat on the shoulder of Romford down the back straight and through the corner.

When they straightened for the finish line, Sky Reign edged into the lead and slipped away to score by nearly two lengths over Romford and Cypher Monelli in 27.94.

Sky Reign improved his record to eight wins from 41 starts.
