Muggles, wizards and squibs will unite at the Darius Wells Library in Kwinana on Thursday, February 7, putting their Harry Potter knowledge to the test in a magical night of trivia.

Potterheads are encouraged to dust off their cloaks and wands, and don their finest robes for the City’s first Harry Potter-themed quiz.

The night will kick off with a team-sorting ceremony, with participants divided into teams of four. Each round will be dedicated to a different novel.

Youth Services Librarian Briana Bohan said the Harry Potter series was one of the library’s most sought-after fiction books for tweens.

“We cannot seem to keep them on the shelf,” she said.

“They are always booked out.

“(The Harry Potter series) has been out for about 20 years now and it just wont stop. It’s as popular as it’s ever been.”

The Harry Potter series including audiobooks and DVD copies were loaned about 260 times last year, with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets the most popular.

Door prizes and prizes for best dressed will be awarded on the night. Bookings are essential. Contact the Kwinana Public Library on 9236 4300 to register.
