Perth traffic: Major emergency unfolds as car fire erupts on Kwinana Freeway exit ramp in Stake Hill

A terrifying car fire is causing major traffic disruption on a Kwinana Freeway entry ramp.

Flames took hold of the vehicle early Monday at about 5am on the Mandjoogoordap Drive entry to the Kwinana Freeway southbound exit in Stake Hill.

Main Roads have urged drivers to avoid the area.

Fire crews responded and have extinguished the fire.

The fire was inside a car believed to have been dumped on the side of the road a few days ago, police said.

Officers will investigate whether the fire started under suspicious circumstances.
