Man with axe robs Rockingham servo

Police are investigating after a man armed with an axe robbed a service station on Dixon Road in East Rockingham in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The incident happened at about 3am on Thursday, November 28.

The man stole several items from the store and also demanded cash from a staff member before exiting the store.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information on the offender, who is described as fair-skinned, 30 to 40 years old, medium build and about 170cm tall.

He was clean shaven, spoke with an Australian accent and at the time of the offence he was wearing dark long pants, a grey hooded jacket and dark shoes.

No one was injured during the incident.
