Kwinana blaze contained

Residents in Bertram and Parmelia can sigh in relief as a bushfire in the City of Kwinana has now been contained.

The blaze broke out on Wednesday near the intersection of Sulphur Road and Price Parkway, with people living in the area told by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services to be alert.

However, DFES has issued the all clear this morning, with the fire under control in Bertram, Casuarina and Parmelia.

A spokesman said the danger had passed but asked people in the area to be vigilant in case the situation changed.
