Charged with pimping child

A 32-year-old Kwinana man accused of pimping out a child as a prostitute and taking payments for himself has appeared in court.

Benjamin Allan Mitz is charged with causing or permitting a child to act as a prostitute and obtaining payment for prostitution by a child.

He appeared in Rockingham Magistrate’s Court via video link from Hakea Prison on Wednesday, March 13, but did not plead to any of the charges.

Mr Mitz is also facing three charges of breaching a restraining order, criminal damage or destruction of property, threatening to injure, endanger or harm a person, and aggravated assault.

He will next appear in court on April 10.
