Police appealing for help after man brutally attacked in Perth CBD

Police are on the hunt for a man who landed a vicious and unprovoked attack on an unsuspecting victim who was walking in the Perth CBD.

At about 2am on Saturday, a man aged in his 20s was walking on William Street, near Hay Street, when he was brutally attacked by an unknown assailant.

Police say the assault was so violent that the victim had to be taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for treatment.

The offender fled on foot. He is described as fair-skinned, aged in his early 20s, of slim build, with dark hair and a moustache.
