Over 75 years, Club Med has built its global reputation on being all-inclusive — and it is now taking that winning formula to Koh Samui, Thailand.
The Club Med Exclusive Collection Koh Samui will be its first Exclusive Collection Resort in Thailand (though Club Med Phuket opened way back in 1985).
“This exceptional property situated on an exclusive beach along the coast of Koh Samui marks an exciting expansion in our portfolio,” says Stephane Maquaire, president and chief executive of Club Med.
The 303-room resort is on the northern coast of Koh Samui, 25 minutes drive from Koh Samui Airport.
A spokesperson for Club Med says it will offer “a chic and contemporary island escape with a playful edge”.
It will have a 200m private beach, enabling it to offer a variety of sports and beachfront activities.
It is on the doorstep of Ang Thong National Marine Park, an archipelago of 42 islands in the Gulf of Thailand, which is great for boat tours and snorkelling,
Club Med Exclusive Collection Koh Samui is anticipated to open its doors in the second half of 2028. Booking details will be released closer to opening.
LUXURY GROWS
Club Med now has more than 60 Premium and Exclusive Collection Resorts in 25 countries.
They look after 13 per cent of Club Med’s guests globally, as the demand for luxury travel continues to grow.
“With the acceleration we have been making, from the soon-to-be-opened Club Med Borneo in Malaysia and Club Med South Africa Beach and Safari to the signing of Club Med Manado in Indonesia and Club Med Tremblant in Canada, this new chapter will continue to strengthen Club Med’s leadership in premium, all-inclusive experiential holidays in breath-taking destinations such as here in Koh Samui,” Stephane says.
“Beyond the guest experience, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating a lasting, positive impact for the regions we call home by empowering local workforces with varied career paths and sustainable destination development. This holistic approach ensures our presence contributes to the long-term environmental and economic vitality of our community partners and host destinations.”
