Meet Tim Kennelly, outright ABL all-time home run record holder.

The 37-year-old is still the beating heart of the Heat franchise, and underlined his value against the Melbourne Aces at the weekend.

The Game AFL 2024

In fittingly searing 41C heat, Kennelly stepped up to the plate in the fourth innings of game two of the series and smacked the ball to left field for his 61st ABL home run.

After weeks of anticipation, he finally overtooke former teammate Luke Hughes on the all-time count.

The Heat have already qualified for the playoffs with one series remaining in the regular season - away to the Sydney Blue Sox.
