Soccer superstar Sam Kerr has welcomed her first child to the world with partner Kristie Mewis, sharing an adorable photo on social media of the newborn asleep on her chest.

“Our little man is here, Jagger Mewis-Kerr💙” the photo is captioned.

The 31-year-old shared the news that her and Mewis were expecting their first child together in late November and fans have been following Mewis’s pregnancy journey ever since.

Mewis has only shared a few photos throughout the pregnancy and her last Instagram post was a selfie of her and Kerr six weeks ago.

“Congrats you guys. Welcome to the fam Jagger 🥹,” team mate Katrina Gorry commented.

“Congratulations, Kristie & Sam ❤️⚒️,” wrote the Westham women Instagram page.

Going public with their relationship in 2021 following the Tokyo Olympics, Kerr proposed to her American partner in September 2023.

“She’s my biggest supporter, always listening to me nag and complain, all of my crazy antics,” Mewis told People magazine at the time.

Mewis, an American football star herself, last played for her club West Ham on September 21 before announcing her pregnancy in November.

Sam Kerr has long been a source of inspiration for young women through her talent on the football field and she has recently celebrated another major moment as Chelsea clinched their sixth successive Women’s Super League title.

She has scored 99 goals in 128 matches since making her Chelsea debut in January 2020, but hasn’t played a senior game since rupturing her ACL in December 2023.
