Meet Erin Warwick: The man who lays claim to being the biggest Fremantle Dockers fan in Western Australia
He’s got an anchor tattoed on his arm, a dog named after the club’s captain and a jumper collection valued at a quarter-of-a-million dollars.
This is Fremantle’s biggest fan.
Erin Warwick’s man cave has to be seen to be believed. The jumper Lachie Neale wore in the 2013 grand final, the boots David Mundy wore in his 300th game and plenty of Nat Fyfe’s memorabilia are just the tip of the iceberg to his collection.
Then he opens his lockers to reveal every single jumper worn by Fremantle’s AFL and AFLW teams in the club’s history.
“I’ve got every Freo jumper we’ve ever had from the very beginning, right through to this year, chronologically ordered and number ordered,” Mr Warwick said.
And when he says he has every jumper — he means it. Every retro round or indigenous round special edition, every clash strip, every old heritage jumper. They’re all in his cupboard.
Mr Warwick has had his jumper collection valued for insurance purposes at a maximum of $100,000, but he estimates the value is really up towards $250,000.

The Brookdale man, who became a Dockers fan as soon as they entered the competition 30 years ago, said the prospect of this Saturday night’s elimination final against Gold Coast is “terrifying, nerve-wracking, but mostly exciting”.
And he perfectly described the at times anguished existence of a Fremantle fan.
“Ups, downs, lefts, rights, circles and roundabouts. But I’m passionate and I love it. I wouldn’t change it,” Mr Warwick said.
The Dockers superfan wouldn’t weigh in on which was his favourite jumper, because he said it was “like having a favourite child”.

But he did say the cult classic ‘3D anchor’ was a design he loved and that “no collection would be complete” without a match-worn jumper from the club’s grand final defeat in 2013.
Mr Warwick has even been called on by the club to help in the design of their retro round jumpers. His collection is used as a reference to bring the club’s throwbacks to life.
And he is one of the men behind a coffee table book, Fibre of Freo, which was published earlier this year and profiles every single jumper the club has ever worn.

When The West Australian visited Mr Warwick, the club’s round 24 win was playing on repeat on the TV while his dog Moose — the nickname of Dockers captain Alex Pearce — sniffed around his collection.
Mr Warwick said Dockers champion Mundy was his favourite player and at one stage he owned more than 50 of the silky midfielder’s jumpers. The No.16 jumpers are harder to come by now, with the price of ones worn by Rising Star favourite Murphy Reid skyrocketing.
Fremantle will play in what is anticipated to be a record crowd at Optus Stadium on Saturday in their first final since 2022.
