Perth Scorchers have named the same side for their first three games of the Women’s Big Bash League season — and that trend appears set to continue as they aim to continue their unbeaten start against Melbourne Stars.

The Scorchers have again named an unchanged 13-player squad for their clash with the Stars at North Sydney Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The game will be the third and final fixture of Perth’s three-game road stand, which they started by holding on for a low-scoring 15-run win over the Stars on Monday night before beating Sydney Thunder by 17 runs on Thursday.

Scorchers star Freya Kemp said the fact two of their first three games had been played away from the WACA Ground had made their strong start to the season especially pleasing.

“It’s been nice to be in Sydney,” Kemp told The West Australian.

“To head back to Perth and play two games in a row (there) will be good. Obviously, we love playing at the WACA.

“I love playing Twenty20 cricket and I’m very thankful for the opportunity to come over here and play for Perth.”

Scorchers captain Beth Mooney, who made a fine 80 not out against the Thunder to earn player of the match honours, said her side would not be getting ahead of themselves.

“T20 is a funny game, it can change very quickly, so we won’t be too up or too down,” Mooney said.

“We’re having contributors all through the line-up, (with) both bat and ball and doing some good stuff in the field too, so I’m pretty happy.”

The Stars have also named an unchanged squad for a game in which they will be aiming to snap a three-game losing streak.

After starting their campaign by beating reigning champions Hobart Hurricanes, they have gone down in every game since, the most recent of which came in a narrow one-run loss to the star-studded Sydney Sixers on Friday.
