Collingwood’s Tarni Brown had a moment to forget in her side’s AFLW semifinal against North Melbourne.

Brown, the daughter of Magpies legend Gavin Brown, won possession of the footy and pulled clear of her opponents before kicking for goal.

The only problem?

She nailed the shot at the wrong end.

Teammates were quick to point to the other end of Victoria Park as Brown realised her mistake.

“Ahh... just a brain fade there. She’s kicked a behind for North,” the commentators said.

Brown was able to laugh off the mistake, with her side leading North Melbourne at the time.

But the ‘Roos roared back into the match in the second half.

Brown got her redemption when kicked the match-sealing goal with minutes remaining in the clash.

The 18-year-old made history as the first AFLW father-daughter pick for Collingwood when she was snapped up at the end of 2020.

Brown joins brothers Callum and Tyler at the club in 2021.

Gavin Brown was a three-time All Australian who captained Collingwood from 1994.

He played 254 games for the club, winning the Copeland Trophy for the club’s best and fairest three times.
