During the meeting Trump and Australia’s US ambassador Kevin Rudd were engaged in an awkward exchange, with the President saying he didn’t like him.

Despite this Albanese labelled the meeting as very successful and said he got on “very well” with Trump.

“We have been very focused on outcomes, the personal relationship with President Trump has gone very well, and it was a very successful couple of days I’ve had,” he told Sunrise on Wednesday morning.
