Perth Weather: Sunny morning, followed by an afternoon of windy conditions, chance of a thunderstorm
The sunny days and moderate temperatures experienced in Perth are about to come to an end with showers and a possible thunderstorm smashing the metropolitan area late on Wednesday afternoon.
The sun will remain out for most of the morning and the temperature will hit 24C before the change in the afternoon, with severe damaging winds expected along the coast.
Winds will hit up to 45km/h, tending north-westerly in the early afternoon then going westerly up to 40km/h in the late evening.
Rain will be heavy through the night, staying on into Thursday morning.
It is then expected to ease off, with the maximum hitting 17C. The wind is predicted to drop off in the early evening.

There will be a cold start to Friday, predicted to be 4C, before a sunny day and a top of 18C including the chance of fog a bit of frost in Perth’s north-east.
The sunshine will continue on Saturday with a top of 20C. But cloud cover will come in on Sunday, with the possibility of a shower.
