Perth weather tomorrow: Rain to settle in overnight before turning to sprinkles over weekend then warming up
The rain has arrived and will settle in overnight before turning into possible intermittent light sprinkles over the weekend that will give way to a sunny Monday.
The first showers hit Perth in the early hours of Friday and by 8.59am, Jandakot had recorded 1.2mm, Swanbourne 1.4mm and Perth 0.8mm.
It has only got wetter from there, with rain continuing to fall across the metropolitan area, bringing with it high wind gusts.
By early Friday afternoon, Perth had 2mm of rain, Jandakot 5.6mm and Swanbourne 2.2mm.
Highlighting the cold front’s movement south, Mandurah — which had no rainfall overnight — had 3.6mm tumble down since 9am.
The Bureau of Meteorology takes its 24-hour rainfall period from 9am one day to 8.59am the next.
There is expected to be some respite from the rain in the middle of the afternoon to early evening, before the rain falls again through the night.
By Saturday morning, skies will start to clear, with an expected top of 22C after a minimum of 12C.
The cloudy weather persists into Sunday, with some light showers possible and the chance of morning fog.
But another 22C is forecast after a low of 10C.
The sun then really shows itself on Monday — just in time for most of us to go back to work — with the mercury set to hit a beautiful 26C.
It’s even better on Tueday, with 29C tempting people to the beach, before the rain returns on Wednesday and the temp dips to 22C.
