WA’s best Bunnings stores revealed as South West outlet ranks second in Australia

A Bunnings store in WA’s South West has been rated the second best in Australia, with shoppers praising its impressive range and ability to deliver everything they need despite its smaller size.

Australind Bunnings scored an impressive 4.46 stars from 871 Google reviews, putting it just behind the nation’s highest-rated store in Newstead, Brisbane, which scored 4.47.

One Australind shopper summed up the appeal of the store, writing: “Little smaller than the big city shops but it had everything I needed for a small Reno down south.”

The store was the highest-rated of 38 Bunnings outlets across WA, with Baldivis (4.37), Joondalup (4.36) and Halls Head (4.35) rounding out the State’s top four.

Joondalup shoppers were particularly impressed with the range, with one declaring: “Massive range, if they don’t have it, it doesn’t exist.”

The rankings, compiled by web SEO experts at seobacklinks.com, analysed Google reviews for Bunnings stores across Australia.

Researchers examined 306 stores with at least 200 reviews, analysing more than 482,000 ratings collected on October 20.

They calculated each store’s precise average rating using its individual one to five-star reviews, rather than relying on the rounded score displayed by Google.

WA’s 38 ranked stores averaged 4.21 stars, level with the national average.

Oliver Weston, founder of seobacklinks.com, said the reviews showed how much the shopping experience could vary between stores carrying the same name.

“Bunnings is a weekend habit for a lot of Australians, so people notice when their local store falls short,” he said.

“At the top, they talk about full shelves, easy parking and staff who help carry heavy loads to the car.”

Bunnings stores in Tasmania had the highest average rating of any State at 4.30, while WA’s 4.21 matched the national average.

The country’s highest-rated store was Newstead in Brisbane, with 4.47 stars from 2909 reviews, narrowly ahead of Australind.
