Two serious crashes on the same South West road in less than 12 hours

A man has been flown to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a tree and being freed from the car wreck by firefighters near Gracetown this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Caves road near Carters Road about 5.40am.

It is understood to be the same spot where two cars had crashed in a head-on collision about 8.20pm on Monday

One person was flown to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries yesterday, while another person in the same car was rushed to the Busselton Hospital.

The occupants in the other car were taken to the Margaret River hospital with minor injuries.
