Rockingham detectives charge 17-year-old over Warnbro alleged armed altercation with 21-year-old woman

UPDATE: Rockingham detectives have charged a teenage boy after a young woman was allegedly struck with a “bladed” weapon in a shopping centre carpark. Police say the 21-year-old woman and an unknown man had an altercation at about 1.10pm on Wednesday in the carpark at Warnbo Centre, along Warnbro Sound Avenue. The man allegedly severely wounded the woman’s arm with what police are calling a “large-bladed weapon” before fleeing in a light-coloured sedan. A 17-year-old male juvenile from Hamilton Hill was located and charged by police concerning the incident. He was charged with one count of unlawfully doing grievous bodily harm to another and will is due to appear in Perth Children’s Court today. The woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to Rockingham General Hospital for treatment.
