The 72-year-old woman who went missing while walking her dog in Balga has been found, police have confirmed.

Police say the woman was last sighted around 11am on Wednesday near Stirling Leisure Centre, walking her black-and-white border collie.

After widespread searches throughout the day and evening, she was found late on Wednesday.

Mirrabooka Police thanked the community for their assistance after she was located safe and well.

She is expected to be reunited with her family on Wednesday night.
