Arson squad investigating Kewdale house ‘fully engulfed’ in flames, no one believed to be inside

Arson investigators are probing a suspicious fire that destroyed a home in Perth’s southeast. Multiple emergency crews attended the home on Stockdale Road in Kewdale, which was “fully engulfed” in flames at about 7pm on Monday. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to control the blaze. A police spokesperson said the cause of the fire, which had gutted the home, was unknown however was being treated as suspicious. Arson investigators remained at the home on Tuesday morning. A large reward of up to $25,000 is available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
