Death in custody: Casuarina prisoner dies in hospital after suffering from terminal illness

A prisoner from Casuarina Prison has died in hospital after suffering from a terminal illness.
The 65-year-old man died at Fiona Stanley Hospital on Monday morning after first being transferred to the hospital on Sunday, February 1.
WA Police will prepare a report for the coroner, which is mandatory for any death in custody.
