A car rollover and collapsed tree have caused traffic chaos on a major Perth road.

Motorists on Stirling Highway eastbound are facing huge delays after a vehicle rolled over at Hampden Road in Crawley just before 7.30am on Wednesday.

The crash remains heavy on approach with Emergency services and DFES on scene earlier Tuesday morning.

Main Roads WA has confirmed the crash has cleared but traffic remains heavy on approach.

Commuters travelling northbound on Stirling Highway faced delays earlier this morning, with a tree collapsing onto the major road just before Tydeman Road in North Fremantle.

Main Roads WA have since confirmed the traffic has cleared but remains heavy on approach back to High Street.

There has also been a crash on Leach Highway northbound, near the entry to Tonkin Highway.

Traffic is slow on approach with the entry ramp being reduced to a single lane.
