Perth traffic: Kwinana Freeway, Tonkin Highway crashes causing delays for commuters heading into long weekend

Two crashes across Perth are causing traffic delays for commuters who are heading into the WA Labour Day long weekend.

A crash on Kwinana Freeway southbound after Paganoni Road in Keralup has reduced traffic to a standstill.

Reported by Main Roads at 4.21pm, the crash forced the closure of the right lane as towing services attended the scene.

The crash was cleared by 4.53pm, but traffic remains heavy on approach.

Earlier at 4.04pm, a crash was reported on Tonkin Highway northbound after Collier Link in Bayswater.

Heavy congestion in the area followed, with the right hand lane being blocked off the motorists.

Traffic started flowing after the crash was cleared by 4.20pm.

Further north, a breakdown is causing traffic pain on the Mitchell Freeway southbound.

Incident Response has shut the right lane at Vincent Street in Leederville.

Towing services are also at the scene.
