A car rollover which forced the closure of a Mitchell Freeway on-ramp in during the morning peak hour has been cleared.

The incident happened just before 7am on Wednesday morning at the Hepburn Avenue entry to the freeway southbound.

Traffic was heavy at the time with motorists advised to take care and access the freeway from the Warwick Road entrance.

Emergency works undertaken to repair the road surface which was damaged in the crash has now been completed.
