Perth traffic: Delays, lane closure warnings on Kwinana Freeway for rail works
There are likely to be huge delays on the Kwinana Freeway with lane closures in place this weekend and over a chunk of the coming long weekend.
Main Roads WA has warned of lane closures and possible detours on the freeway northbound from the Berrigan Drive off-ramp to the Roe Highway on-ramp in South Lake while railway track maintenance is carried out.
“Lane closures, traffic management and speed reductions in place for the construction of new track maintenance facilities in rail reserve,” its has posted on X.
“Be aware as delays are expected.”
Lanes will be closed on Friday, February 20, from 7pm until 6am on Monday, February 23.
More traffic pain is then expected on the Labour Day long weekend, with lanes closed from 7pm on Sunday, March 1, to 5am on Tuesday, March 3.
