A road in Perth’s northern suburbs has been reopened after a crash forced it to close on Tuesday afternoon.

Whitfords Avenue eastbound was shut at the Mitchell Freeway overpass in Craigie at 3.40pm for about an hour.

A WA Police spokesperson said it is understood the crash involved a car and a motorcycle. It is not yet known if anyone involved has sustained any injuries.

Main Roads confirmed 4.52pm that the crash had been cleared but traffic is still heavy on approach.

Further south in Subiaco, a crash has caused a diesel spill at the Salvado Road and Harborne Street intersection.

The crash was cleared at 5.50pm and traffic is now flowing.
