Tiahleigh Palmer’s foster brother to plead guilty to stealing and trespassing, court told
The foster brother of murdered school Tiahleigh Palmer will plead guilty to a stealing incident just weeks after he gave evidence about her death at an inquest, a court has been told.
Trent Jordan Thorburn, the son of child killer Rick Thorburn, did not appear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court when his matter was briefly mentioned on Wednesday.
Instead, his legal aid lawyer appeared on his behalf asking for an adjournment.

READ NOWMr Thorburn had been charged with entering a premise and committing an indictable offence but the court was told this had been changed to the lesser charges of trespassing and stealing.
Mr Thorburn, 24, will return to court on November 3 and his bail was continued.
Police have previously alleged in court Mr Thorburn broke into the 4WD Supacentre at Parkinson with a group of teenagers on June 25.
Up to $22,000 worth of gear was loaded into a white Nissan Patrol at the scene.
Mr Thorburn was the only person charged.
It comes just weeks after he gave evidence at a coronial inquest into Tiahleigh’s death.
On June 18, deputy state coroner Jane Bentley found Mr Thorburn’s father Rick had deliberately killed the 12-year-old on October 30, 2015.
Rick Thorburn is currently serving a life sentence for Tiahleigh’s murder.
