Wife Alicia mourns husband Adam Stock killed in head-on car crash on Mandurah Road in Baldivis

The shattered wife of a driver killed in a head-on crash in Baldivis has made a heart-wrenching plea to take more care on the roads as the father of six is remembered as a hard-working man who always put his family first. Adam Stock, 48, was on his way to work when tragedy struck on Mandurah Road about 5.30am on Wednesday. He was driving a Toyota Yaris when his car collided head-on with a Holden Cruze. Mr Stock’s wife, Alicia Stock, said she was still coming to terms with the fact her husband will never come home. “We are all just devastated. Such a shock to us all,” Mrs Stock told The West Australian. “Our little family will never be the same again. My husband was just the most beautiful man. He loved his family fiercely and always put us first. “He was a hard worker, a kind man, a loving husband and father and had the best sense of humour. He was just one of a kind.” Mrs Stock said it felt like her whole world had been “turned upside down,” and has urged drivers to be extra cautious on the roads. “I’m heartbroken he didn’t come home to me that day and shattered he never will again,” she said. “He was my best friend as well as my husband. “Please be careful on the roads, you never know who is coming towards you. “And don’t take for granted that you’ll see your loved ones again, it might be the last time you wave goodbye.” There has been an outpouring of grief from friends following the death of the dedicated father. “Rip ‘Stocky’ you were such a good dude and your life has been taken way too soon and I’m shocked to hear this news,” one post wrote. Another friend described Mr Stock as the “goat”, meaning, the “greatest of all time”. One mourner said: “RIP ‘Stocky’ you were a good friend, you will be missed heaps.” Another wrote: “RIP my good mate you will be missed greatly. Absolutely devastating news.” “Just heard some sad news, my closest friend, workmate, passed away this morning,” a colleague wrote. “My condolences to his wife children and his family.” Following the horrific crash, a local man — who happened to be one of the first people on the scene — also urged road users to take more care. “To the family who lost a loved one on Mandurah Road yesterday morning, I tried, I really did, I did everything I could to save him,” the post read. “Unfortunately he was gone. My heart breaks and my visions keep running. “Your pain is worse than mine . . . people please slow down.”
