Rockingham Seniors and Carers Expo has something for young and old

There promises to be something for people of all ages at this year’s Seniors and Carers Expo in Rockingham. The City of Rockingham’s annual event will feature more than 120 stalls, presentations, a free sausage sizzle, health checks and free activities for seniors and their grandchildren. The expo, running on Friday from 10am to 2pm, aims to enable seniors and their carers to learn more about the support and opportunities available from local service providers and community groups. Rockingham mayor Deb Hamblin said it was the biggest event of its kind for older people south of Perth. “This popular event has something that all seniors and carers can take advantage of,” she said. “Delivering the Seniors and Carers Expo has been a key part of the city’s strategy for many years and we look forward to presenting the event as it plays an important part in providing attendees with access to services and programs that can help them live a safe and fulfilling life.” The expo is on October 6 at Mike Barnett Sports Complex, with free parking and shuttle buses available.
