Rockingham detectives are seeking information about a serious assault earlier this month which resulted in a teenager losing part of his finger.

Police say sometime between 4pm and 5pm on May 6, a 17-year-old boy and his group of friends were at a bus stop on Nairn Drive near Clyde Avenue in Baldivis when they were approached by a “large group” of men.

A verbal and physical altercation broke out and the group chased the boy and his friends.

During this incident, police say the teenager sustained a permanent injury to his hand which resulted in part of one of his fingers being “taken off”.

Police are investigating if the incident is linked to other offences that occurred in the area on the same day.

Detectives are investigating several disturbances that happened on Nairn Drive, Settlers Avenue and Safety Bay Road on May 6 between 3pm and 5.30pm.

Anyone with mobile phone, CCTV or dash-cam vision taken during those times and locations are asked to upload the footage to wapf.au.evidence.com/.../public/060524170016509.
