Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding an alleged altercation involving a number of students at a Secret Harbour high school. It’s believed officers were called to Comet Bay College, located on Allatoona Avenue, about 11.30am following reports of a disturbance. According to a WA Police spokesperson, a suspended student attended the school and was involved in an altercation with other students. No one was injured during the incident and no weapons were involved. Department of Education Director General Lisa Rodgers said the behaviour displayed during the incident was “unacceptable”. “When violence occurs at schools, it is always responded to swiftly,” she said. “This includes working with police when necessary, which is the case in this instance. “Staff and students have a right to be safe at school and it is completely unacceptable for anyone to enter school grounds without permission. “This is a very serious matter, which is being investigated by police.” Mandurah police continue to liaise with the school principal.
