Police called to Port Kennedy address after man shot

Gang Crime Squad are investigating a firearm incident that occurred in Port Kennedy on Monday January 17. Police arrived at a property on Stake Hill Road at 1.05pm after reports of an injured man. Upon arrival, it was found that the man had received injuries consistent with gunshot wounds to one of his legs and abdomen. The 37-year-old man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The exact circumstances surrounding how the man received the injury are unclear but police are investigating the incident. It’s understood a silver/grey Holden Commodore was in the area at the time of the incident and that both parties are believed to have been known to one another.
