Local organisation beats McDonald’s for Employer of Choice award
A local maintenance specialist provider has beaten organisations like McDonald’s to win the Employer of Choice award.
High Grade Mechanical, won the award earlier this month which recognises workplaces that maximise the potential of their workforce.
General manager Stacey Wyartt said the company was thrilled as she accepted the honour on behalf of HGM.
“It’s been a challenging couple of years with our workforce impacted by the pandemic, but we’ve adapted and come out stronger as a team. We have worked with government and industry to address the skills shortage that has come about through travel restrictions without depleting the aligned trade markets through good training, development, and succession planning, which we are very proud of,” Ms Wyartt said.
“We truly care about our team members and enabling them to be the best versions of themselves, both professionally and personally.”
Named alongside many national organisations, including McDonald’s Australia, Aldi and Carlton Football Club, this is the second year that the company, which works in the mining and civil industries, has received the award.
“Through our Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Program we give our team members access to a host of benefits including corporate discounts, accident and illness protection insurance, life map financial planning, vaccination programs, training and development, health and wellness, salary packaging and so much more,” Ms Wyartt said.
“We also have a culture where we encourage diversity and inclusiveness, knowing it enriches our knowledge base.”
The organisation has job opportunities available for both qualified trades and entry-level personnel. For more information visit hgmechanical.com.au.
