Kwinana residents can swing by and have their say on designs for new playground equipment at a Wellard park. The city is replacing the ageing playground at Homestead Park, on the corner of Wellard and Bertram roads, with similar equipment “based on current trends, best practice, accessibility and local enjoyment”. It has released three designs proposed to reinvigorate the space, with residents invited to vote on their preferred option. The proposed play structures feature climbing, swinging and rope elements, along with slides and swings. According to the city, existing play equipment that is in good condition will be used as spare parts for other playgrounds and pieces that are no longer fit for use will be recycled. View the plans and give feedback by January 30 via the city’s website.
