Daniel Brian Brennan fronts court over serious domestic violence charges

A Baldivis man is facing serious domestic violence charges involving an attack on his ex-partner in which he allegedly threw 10 darts at the victim and punctured her leg. Daniel Brian Brennan, 44, appeared via video link before Rockingham Magistrates court on Wednesday, charged with three counts of aggravated assault. Prosecutor Senior Constable Jessica Anderson told the court that around midnight on Tuesday, July 19, Brennan and the victim were in their home garage when an argument erupted between them about a car. It is alleged that Brennan picked up a pair of scissors and threw them at the victim, cutting her right hand. The argument continued to escalate, with Brennan allegedly picking up about 10 darts and throwing them at the victim. The victim was allegedly hit by two of the darts on her left leg, causing two puncture wounds. Two days after the incident police attended the home and the victim’s wounds were photographed by police, with visible wounds to her thigh and calf. When questioned by police, Brennan said he “didn’t throw any darts”. The matter was remanded to August 10 to allow time for a bail risk assessment. 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732)
