City of Rockingham prepares to switch on Christmas lights

The lights are on and everyone’s invited to celebrate as Christmas comes alive in Rockingham this Friday.
The official Christmas lights launch from 5pm to 8.30pm Friday will herald a range of festive family fun across the weekend and leading up to the big day on December 25.
Santa will be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday and a synthetic ice rink will remain set up at all weekend, with live entertainment, food vendors, market stalls and a snow pit adding to the Churchill Park atmosphere.
“Seeing the Christmas lights get turned on throughout the Beach Plaza, Churchill Park, the Boardwalk and up Railway Terrace is always an exciting moment,” Rockingham mayor Deb Hamblin said.
