Let’s get digital is the call as business owners in Rockingham and Kwinana can access free workshops to help them get digital-savvy.

The cities of Rockingham and Kwinana have teamed up with business management consultant Business Foundations to deliver the series of workshops over the next year, with the first held in late October.

The Digital Solutions Program, funded by the Federal Government, will offer practical advice to help business owners better understand all things digital.

Attendees will be able to learn more about the tools they can use to transform their business online, the importance of cyber security and creating a sustainable social media strategy.

Rockingham mayor Deb Hamblin said feedback from local business owners was that they needed greater training and skills development.

“We know that in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, it is crucial for small businesses to adapt to new technologies and stay competitive,” she said. “These sessions will aim to assist our small business sector by harnessing their digital skills, helping them to grow and create more jobs in our local economy.”

Kwinana mayor Carol Adams said the program would “support local businesses to thrive in the digital age”.

“This program is designed to empower small businesses, enabling them to smoothly navigate the digital landscape, stay competitive, and elevate the quality of their service for their valued customers,” she said.

The introduction to digital transformation for small business workshop will be held on October 25 at the Gary Holland Community Centre in Rockingham.
