The third heat of the City of Rockingham’s Act-Belong-Commit Breakthrough Competition will be held at the Rockingham centre on Sunday from 12pm to 3pm.

The annual competition provides people aged 12-24 the opportunity to showcase their talents, while also acting as a potential pathway to the music industry.

The first and second heats of the competition, which were held at Secret Harbour Square on September 2 and the Warnbro Centre on September 9, saw participants perform in front of large crowds with talent showcased in the junior and senior sections.

About 11 juniors and seven seniors will proceed to the final on September 23, each vying for a share in $5,000 and a variety of multi media prizes including a day recording a music video and a photo-shoot.

The final will be held at the Rockingham Arts Centre from 11am to 1pm, as part of the City’s upcycle art project exhibition.
