Gunman forces woman to hand over cash

Police are calling for information after a 23-year-old woman was held at gunpoint and told to hand over money she was transporting from her work to the bank.

About 4.15pm on Friday, the woman drove from a business premises on Paxton Way in Port Kennedy carrying cash, which the Telegraph believes was in excess of $10,000.

As she turned onto Bakewell Crescent in Port Kennedy, she was stopped by a man driving a vehicle.

He was believed to be armed with a firearm and demanded the cash before he fled in his vehicle north along Warnbro Sound Avenue.

Detectives are appealing for any dash cam vision in the area from about 1pm onwards.

The offender’s car is described as being a two door dark coloured utility.
