Trike repair kids Rise to occasion
Makybe Rise Primary School students now have access to more play equipment after Warnbro Community High School Education Support Centre students fixed some of the school’s trikes.
Revamp Bike Club students were involved in fixing several trikes from Makybe Rise Primary School in need of repair because of wear and tear.
Makybe Rise Primary School students were presented with the new and improved bikes earlier this month.
Makybe Rise Primary School principal Steph McDonald said the project was a wonderful example of the schools’ partnership.
“The students’ playtime will certainly be enhanced with the repaired bikes,” she said.
“It also showcases the capabilities of the education support program at Warnbro Community High School.”
The Warnbro Education Support Centre Revamp Bike Club has been in operation since 2010 and provides a supplementary program for students.
Through the workshop, students are required to rebuild a bike in need of repair, which they can keep or donate to a worthy cause.
