Rockingham Patchwork Group offers up handmade wares to help charity
The busy members of Rockingham Patchwork Group will be selling some of their handmade wares at a market stall on Thursday at McLarty Hall, Shoalwater.
The group, which has about 50 members, hopes to raise money for local charity the CREW by selling quilts, home goods, table runners, placemats, shopping bags, wall hangings and much more between 9am and 1.30pm.
President Vivienne Doyle said the group made so much throughout the year it had to hold market days, with all proceeds donated to charity.
Members meet every Thursday at McLarty Hall from 9am-3pm, and Mrs Doyle said the group was always on the lookout for new members.
Those looking for fun and fellowship and who may be seeking fulfilment from contributing usefully and keeping their mind healthy and hands busy are encouraged to join.
