Officers are investigating a serious crash in Singleton last night after a man pushing a car on the road was hit from behind.

About 8:15pm a 38-year-old man was pushing a Mazda ute north along Mandurah Road in Singleton. The man was believed to be pushing the vehicle with the driver’s door open.

At the same time a Toyota Camry sedan was being driven north on the same road, behind the Mazda.

The two cars collided about 500m south of the Singleton Beach Road intersection, and the man pushing the Mazda was hit.

The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.
