Kwinana Golf Club welcomed three WA footballing champions to a special AFL Sportsman’s Night on Thursday, with Fremantle Dockers legend Matthew Pavlich hosting a panel featuring West Coast’s Josh Kennedy and Fremantle’s Lachie Neale.

Ahead of Sunday’s massive Western Derby at a sold out Optus Stadium, the trio talked all things footy including the weekend’s big game and the controversy surrounding the Ross Glendinning Medal.

Leadership, current trends in football and life away from the game were also discussed on the night.

Kwinana Golf Club general manager Brent Dawkins said the evening was a fantastic event with over 100 people in attendance.

“It was a fantastic night with 120 people cramming into the Kwinana Golf Club to listen to three champions of West Coast and Fremantle,” he said.

“Matthew Pavlich, Lachie Neale and Josh Kennedy entertained the audience throughout the night with insight into not only football but life away from the hectic AFL spotlight.

“The Kwinana Golf Club will continue to run these events in the future along with our Bistro run by Kent Street Deli.”

The big game on the weekend promises to be one of the biggest Western Derby’s ever, with both teams in good form leading up to the clash.

Bounce down this Sunday is at 2.40pm.
