A man has been fined $50 for blocking traffic in the right-hand lane on the Kwinana Freeway.

The man appeared in Rockingham Magistrate’s Court on July 9, where he pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle in a right lane when not permitted.

The court was told that he was pulled over by police on the freeway around 9pm on May 31.

Police said there was no congestion in the left-hand lane, and that the man was blocking the overtaking lane. Despite the speed limit being 100km/h, Ford was travelling in the right-hand lane at 90km/h.

At the time, he was also driving on a suspended license, a charge which he pleaded guilty to.

He was fine $50 for driving in the right-hand lane, $200 for driving on a suspended license and ordered to pay $205.30 in court costs.
